OCTOBER 2018

It's been a few months since leaving "The Swamp" and returning to my childhood home in Fort Lauderdale and I do have to say that although I'm thankful to be back with my family, I miss the undergraduate lifestyle and having people my age from so many different backgrounds to converse with and simply have fun. So for any one still in undergrad, enjoy this time, and make the most out of your unique environment! On campus, there is always something new to learn whether its through lecture, or through some special event, the University of Florida is absolutely an environment designed to foster growth and learning. Also, I never thought I would say this but, I miss the weather! Down in South Florida, I can barely tell that it's October already. It's perfect beach weather everyday whereas in Rainesville, there's usually a slight chill in the breeze, the leaves may be starting to turn brown and I might actually be able to use my rain boots.

I've been working as a waitress at Red Lobster since June and studying to take the LSAT. I plan on applying to FIU and Florida State but will most likely choose FIU because its pretty close to home.

My sister started medical school in Antigua and I am extremely happy for her! Just the other day, she participated in her white coat ceremony and I think I just may be the proudest sister ever! I wish I could have been there but unfortunately, a plane ticket costs almost a whole month of work!
